I've currently got a VU+Duo from WoS running VIX 2.2.100 and I'm strugling to get a Tring TV card working. Having read the forums I believe even though the Duo supports an in-built Conax SmartCard reader you still need to install a SoftCam such as CCcam.

I've installed CCcam (enigma2-plugin-cams-cccam.2.2.1_1.0-r0_mipsel.ipk) with a CCcam.cfg as below:

N: Duo IP address 35000 username password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

CCcam has been activated but I still can't see the picture on a Tring TV channel. Checking the entitlements under CCcam Info shows 'no or unknown card inserted' which I'm sure doesn't sound right

you do not need the N line at all, as far as i no,
also the card needs to be chip down

others might be able to offer better help,

Card is currently in top slot (sci0) with chip facing down.

I've removed the N line but still the same at the mo.

not sure which channel is the update channel
but i would leave it over night, to see if the card updates
when did the card last work??
and do you own a conex cam?? if so, use it to update the card

have a read of this thread. http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?1728-tring-card-in-the-vu-duo-help&highlight=tring+card

There are also others, just enter tring card and VU in the search box

Good news, the card is active and working :)

A brief overview of what I did:

(i) Downloaded 'enigma2-plugin-cams-oscam.1.00.4863_1.0_mipsel.ipk' and enigma2-plugin-cams-mgcamd.1.35a_1.0-r3_mipsel.ipk from
http://www.4shared.com/dir/wnyHV50A/VIX_CAMS.html .

(ii) Used the configuration files for Oscam and MGCamd from this archive 'ISO-8859-1__Oscam2967+Mgcamd1.31_VTI.tar.gz‎'

(iii) Transfered installation and config files using FileZilla - great post here (http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?8704-How-to-Install-CCcam-MGCamd-Others-on-Duo-Solo-Uno-ET9000-ET5000-ViX&highlight=oscam) on how to do this.

(iv) Installed Oscam and MGCamd.

(v) Disabled CCcam

(vi) Restarted VU+Duo from the Main Menu - Tring card went active and bingo we have a picture :D

Thanks for all the help guys - much appreciated. The picture quality is not that great on the Tring Card and the VU+Duo stil crashes (green screen) occasionally but will leave that for another day.....

I'm trying to find out the entitlements (number) for my Tring+ card based on the current setup above. Anyone any ideas ?

I've had to disable CCcam to get the Tring card working. The CCcam info has a field '8 Entitlements' but unfortunately there is nothing similar in either OScam or MGcamd.
