Love this application, a must have for Mac users that seriously deserves donations.

I had a quick run with the alpha version, no probs so far except I could not retrieve the waitlogo image from my Vu+ Duo with Vix (latest version).

I very much like the way this app is progressing, I was a little puzzeled with the efforts to work with picons some versions back (couldn't get it to work). But since I've found some good sources for picon sets this is less important to me.

A big thank you for this and keep up the good work. :thumbsup:

its used when going into deepstandby but with the new VIX and new kernals its too slow to show up [in other words the graphics driver shuts down before its displayed] so we removed it

I really need to write a manual for iDreamX. There are so many functions nobody knows of.
Here are two for the FTP-Tool:

- If you select a folder in the List and add a tab, the new tab will get the path of the selected folder.

- If you select a folder in the List and click on another tab (while holding down the [option]-key) the tab will get the path of the selected folder.

Indeed the CTRL buton seems to hold a lot of hidden features:

In FTP a CRTL-click on a tab opens a pop-up that allows you to select the use of 1 to 4 tabs.
A CTRL-click on a neutral area (not a list, tab,...) shows a floating window with quick access to Favourites/Last Scanned.

Try it at the Bouquet-Tool on the [Get from Box]-button or at the Telnet-Tool on the [Start Telnet]-button...

Not in the near future. Right now I'm working on the next version of iDreamX that'll come with movie transcoding (right from the box), multi languages and a lot more...

Hi relaht, i really think it's a AWESOME program you have made her for the Mac-platform. My friend and i is using this daily to program Sat-boxes, however we have discovered some mistakes in the latest version from you. Where can we report these at a professional and serious level? It is the same mistake we have discovered on two different Macbook Pro labtops! That is the only mistake we have seen/discovered in this super nice program :)

Hello, I just started with IDreamX on my iMac. I have problems connecting to my VU+duo and setting the preferences.
I can see my VU+ duo in Finder, browse the hard disk and root folder but iDreamX cannot find the "Dreambox".
I filled in Box IP of VU+ Duo in my network, Login name Root , but not sure of it and I think no password is needed.
I don't know port but leave it on default 80.
How to get started?

does your Duo have no password?

The port is set in menu --> plugins --> OpenWebif

Hit 'check box' after you've entered the details and it will tell you if it can connect!

I have downloaded iDreamX for the Mac, and would like to use it. I see it doesn't include the Technomate in its list of remote control handsets. I think it might need to, as its settings are different to, say, the Gigablue Quad, so I have read. iDreamX looks quite good, so I look forward to being able to use it.

I will be using the new TM2T, Technomate new chassis and chipset.

What would you like to see in the photos? I will take a full size photo taken directly above the handset, a topshot. Close-ups taken of sections of the handset? I'll take several photos of its sections, zoomed in, and also the side view of the remote. This is the TM-2T, a rather new twin tuner.

So, to start up the receiver for the 1st time, I just open iDreamX and allow the app to do the work? Or do I need to flash some information onto a flash drive and send that information to the iDreamX app?

You don't need to install anything special on your box for using iDreamX.
But the Webinterface or OpenWebif must be installed and activated.

Please read also the document: iDreamX / Help-menu / Help Documents / "Connecting iDreamX with the box", for further instructions.

Is there a Mac specific link for either Webinterface or Openwebif? Searching the web for them, they appear as plugins. VIX has its own plugins. I am not sure what to download exactly. I have downloaded VLC, but can't find the right webif to download. Do you have a link?

As far as I know you'll find OpenWebif on the feed of the VIX image and it should be installed by default.
You can test it by simply typing the box IP into the address field of a web browser. (Safari, Firefox...)

I have the TM2T connected to my network. I followed Connecting iDreamX with the box and the box sees I am on the network. I followed steps 1 - 9. Not sure if I need step 10. Do I? Why would I want to connect my home network over the Internet? Whatever is on my network will be accessible to other ppl? That's bad. not good!

Or should I be going to Vix after step 9. I see Vix on my TV.

Sorry I haven't been back sooner! I have got busy with hundreds of other things. Wanted to get my new TM2T up right away, but other things came up. I was able to see that it worked, which brought me confidence. I don't know where to go from here to get the channels up. I thought the set up was going to be more automatic. Again, do I need step 10?

But why does it need an active internet connection to work?
I do not have interent at home, but do have a WLAN

All i want to do is stream my local content from Vu+ Ultimo, but the application closes because i dont have an active internet connection.

Why would it need that?
Seems very strange.

I can stream using VLC and WEBX without the internet .... So why does IDreamX need the internet?

I tried to download and install the iDreamX - 3.0.20 Beta version but it does not work on my Mac. I get the following message
"The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information".
I understand that this tool is no longer developed.
Any other alternative/suggestion as I am not able to communicate with my VU+Solo2

Should show up on finder if all you want is to access folders on the box.
