Start new communication satellites Arabsat and SES 2 5C was postponed due to strike in Kourou space center in French Guiana. Trade Union of Workers of French Guiana (UTG) began a strike in the company Telespazio, making it impossible for another Ariane launch.
Satellites SES 2 and Arabsat 5C should be handed down tonight. SES 2 satellite built by Orbital Sciences Corporation and replace AMC 3 at position 87 Wed west.
SES satellites Arabsat 2 and 5C were switched to standby mode and are maintained in safe condition.
A new launch date will be announced soon.
