View Full Version : Got box but poor EPG :(

Got my ET9000 and i like it :)

However I'm not impressed with the EPG. It stays like this till I scroll through a few channels and it fills in a select few, Is there a way to get better EPG?

Image is ViX and box has 320gb HDD installed

hey mate

where are you storing epg

im gussing yr on vix

use crossepg

and for 28.2

use open tv

thats the best

try to store in USB

Hi mate yes I'm on vix. Just realised I've forgot to upload the picture lol.

Cheers I'll try them tomoz when I finish work, I'll try and get a USB drive in the the morning too

Just a quickie, I think I've got a spare 1 gig drive in the house if that's big enough? Will I format it in laptop to fat32 or similar or can I be formatted via the box?

yeah its big enough mate i use 1 gb and i can get my epg picons backup swap all going on to it

i will show u how its done once yr ready to

format it to ext3 though not fat32 its far better for the box

looks like its not poulating correctly

delete the file epg.dat and crossepg from the hdd folder

a set crossepg for open tv 28.2 and if you can usb drive

and redownload it

should get sorted

Mines setup exactly as silverfox says and i get no problems whatsoever with my epg.

Ok got the epg sorted, took me about 4 hours to suss out this morning lmao. cheers guys :)

Just one other thing now, if I press say 102 by the numbers which should be BBC2 it changes to channel 212 sumo tv, 105 should be channel 5 but it changes to 217 sky 3d when numbers pressed??

That's all to do with your bouquets. If you want a sky mirroring channel list, then my suggestion would be to use the silverfox vix channel sets. This works for 101, 105, 217 all as should if tranferred correctly
