Box freezing when HDMI cable connected

Hi all,

my Vu+ duo crashes when starting box with HDMI cable.

I am currently running version 2.0.3 with open pli.

if i start the box without hdmi cable and plug-in the cable later then there is no problem.

Is this a known issue?

Futher i have today removed the cable for the fan since its quite anoing. my box is not running as a server so i cant see it should become a problem. Does anyone have experiences with this as well?

I dont use PLI and cant say have every heard of any issues with HDMI and box freezes.

Have you tried any other images? did it happen than?

What are your AV settings?

I would try VIX but first back up your current image / settings

Sorry it is as VIX image....open pli is only the skin.

Back up your settings using blue button and than back up manager and try an fresh download and reflash. It is not the image as signicant proportion of the users are connecting via HDMI and had no other reports as IIRC.

You lost me there: PLi is not a skin.....
Furthermore: be carefull: running the box withput fan can seriously shorten its lifespan. Use the facontrol plugin and set the fan to "off" during standby.
