Do you use Standby or Deep Standby?

How can I arrange for my ET9000 to wake up from Deep Standby and enter Standby at 4pm each day? (Aside from using a programme timer.)

I use standby, cant see the rational for DS apart from saving something on the leccy.

Deep Standby is not a good option now we are drawing nearer to winter time as it cuts all power going to your Motor and LNB, That is if you have a motorised system. Could cause untold damage if we have a bad frost.

For 16 year now I have had a motor Hooke up for 2 years now sitting without power and the motor still drives fine

I doubt first will kill it just freeze it till it thaws out again
