Hi ...

I'm about to purchase one of these boxes.

Re: the PVR files created by recording:

Can I pull them off over the LAN to my PC's HD?

Are these files then readable/playable on my local PC?

I hope someone can help - so far, Ive been using a closed (non-linux) box only, so I'm not sure how flecible/powerful Libux boxes are...

Thanks for any advice

Ferret

You can use something like FileZilla to connect to the box and than drag and drop the files on to your desktop or where you want.

This you can do 100% with the VU and ET range but not got a TM800 to try it on but should work in principal.

Also Start>Documents>Network in win you can drag and drop as well.

Thanks for the very quick response, Stanman...

Do you know if Linux boxes record FTA materila in a pretty standard file format (inc. HD stuff), playable by VLC Player etc?
