on line version checks

hi i keep getting ,on line version checks on my vu ,whats this for ? many thanks

thats just the image checking in with the server to see if there are any updates available. if your box is connected to the internet it should not be a problem. if however it cant get a connection you will see that error.

cheers ,strang its always conected to the net,but the ip is always different,,

You can disable it though obviously not advised, the setting is in the customize menu.

The IP address does not make any difference as no connection authentication is done when updating with the server

i have just re flashed latest image,see if that will cure it cheers
