I have a CT9000 and looking to get another... or a CT5000 and then my dad wants one.

Is there a way to take a complete snapshot (image) of one box and then flash another (same type and make box)?

I used to do it with DBOXII's but have little experience with the ET9000/5000. I can back stuff up etc but wanted a complete perfect copy/image.

thanks

With ViX image, this is done simply by going to the image manager (Blue -> ViX -> Image Manager -> Green). This will create a backup on your usb/hdd (depending where you've selected, defaults to hdd if you have one installed). Copy the backup to a usb by downloading in ftp program, and then install to your other box.

et5000 cannot use et9000 and vice versa...

yes in VIX there is a built in image manager that allows you to do exactly this. this is the method people use to release their own tweaked backup versions of popular images.
