Can anyone confirm if the RT2870 driver is working?

Looking at buying one, since my RTL8191SU based dongle overheats and the transfer grinds to a halt, with a fan on its fine...not ideal.

If you do a search there is a thread about wifi dongles, few working but cant recall the model /firmware version
