Getting started

Ok,

I have read loads of stuff re basic setup etc. and am getting more confused so I think i may need help.

I have installed new VIX image
Next I have to FTP enigma .ipk file ? from somewhere not sure which one

Not sure how to ftp... is it by network or do I have to connect pc to vu+ via rs232 port ? or can I download via blue button
The next thing I think I do is to install enigma and run it
Then do I load sat xml file and what about ccam or oscam which should i be looking at when do I load/run them

Oh dear so many questions in my little head and... scarred of asking for the wrong thing and messing it up

Enigma 2 is part of the operating system already installed.

I have got fta to work. When starting vu+duo it says loading... for a long time is this right

Yes, can take around a min or so to fully start. You'll find if you tune to channel and fully reboot by holding down the standby button and selecting restart it will reboot straight into that channel.
