Epg problems

with the latest vix version.im having a issues with epg.even on open providers crashes and resets.sometimes it will do it and a lot of other times it wont.ive read what other problem people have had and checked all that and all seems ok.can anyone help please thnak you

Where are you storing your epg.dat? Menu > Setup > System > EPG > Settings.

Try using a USB stick in the rear, mounting it with mount manager and using that to store the epg.dat and also setup a swapfile Blue button > ViX > Swap manager.

I'd put swap on a USB stick. Yes set to autostart.

Also how many EPG sources have you selected and what are you using? Crossepg or XMTV?

Have you set daily download in Crossepg > Configure?

yes via crossepg and set up 4 in morning

Next time it crashes during a download, please post your crashlog.

thats the trouble when it does it it stalls half way then restarts and no crash log.anyway ive done a swap and 3 times done open tv and its done it fine and thats without putting a usb pen in the back,so maybe swap has sorted it.can i ask is the perpose of the swap what does it do??
