Hi Guys
I have a Vu Duo and a Vu Solo connected to my Home Router using Solwise AV 200MPBS home plugs.
The issue I have is;
SD programmes stream ok to my laptop and Solo, whether they are live or recordings coming from the VU Duo, but True HD channels like the Sly Sports and Sly movies 'Break up' constantly.
Is there a solution to this, as I thought the Solwise plugs would have been adequate for HD live streams and recordings?

you probably don't have enough bandwidth on your your home network to stream HD content

i can only stream to SD to my laptop i use vlc player version 1.05 or less(version above 1.05 will not work with enigma2 boxes)

Not being able to stream HD is quite disappointing.
Maybe having Gigabit based LAN interfaces on future boxes may be the solution.

Curious, I'm streaming from my Uno (and formerly from my Solo) HD content via 10/100MBit LAN and two really cheap routers to my office PC as well as to my notebook without issues (using VLC 1.1.11). Only via WLAN streaming HD is a no go, but still suitable for SD.

Edit: works live as well as for recordings

I can also confirm HD streaming works fine using 10/100 on DUO, ET9k and ET5K using VLC 1.1.4 on win7,everything on VLC is default

Are you streaming 'Sly sports HD', as this requires a higher bandwidth than the other channels like BBC HD?

Sorry, just stuck to Astra 19.2E here in Germany. But it works for me with SKY HD and HD+ (both transmitting 1080i) as well as with 720p services.

Streamed Sly HD over the LAN no problem, watched HD content from one box on another again no problem whatsoever. I would check your connections and devices.

I use BT powerline adapters [ethernet] and have a Netgear NAS mounted onto a Dlink n-draft router [ethernet LAN]

streaming HD from the NAS does not work - stutters. SD works fine
streaming HD from the NAS using wirelss does not work - stutters. SD works fine.

streaming HD using partnerbox from my dou to any of my solo's works fine
streaming HD using VLC from my dou to any PC using powerlie or wirelss does not work - stutters. SD works fine

It could be that the graphics card in the PC/laptop is not capable of playing HD content . To rule out bandwidth issues copy a recorded .TS video file from your enigma2 box which you have recoreded from a HD channel.

Once this has been copied locally to your laptop /pc play with the VLC player. IF it still breaks up the pc is not capable, so you may need to update your graphics card on your pc or purchase new laptop.
