having problems finding the setting to initialise hard drive on vix uno image. any one point me in right direction?

I think its menu/setup/system/hard disk/initialize

thanks for the quick re3plys, sadly it isnt there.

setup - system, but no hard disk option. am i missing something? drive i have put in isnt formated or partitioned.

some one had issues with a ntfs partition, might be worth formatting on your pc and than trying.
There are also some Linux commands to format - might be worth a forum search to try before pulling it out.

oh no dont say that! i really canr be doing with stripping it all out again.

Have a look in here and see if you can see a hdd command.
Will need putty to use them.

The HDD ideally should be un-partitioned before installing. Save yourself time, remove it, connect to pc and delete all partitions.

that was where the drive was at, in the end i took it back out, formated on apc to ntfs and put it back in and it recognised straight away and installed withought issue.

lol, chuffed you got it sorted steve mate, thats how i formatted my HDD too.
