I suppose I should introduce myself, I'm just a regular family guy from Denmark. I wanted a HTPC solution that would fit it all, and ended up realizing that a Linux sat-receiver would solve all my problems of inter-connectivity with my existing sat-PVR and the functions of a HTPC (project valerie is really great), not to mention the wife acceptance factor. I browsed around a bit and ended up buying the ET9000 due the higher spec'd hardware, lower price and the universal remote that came with it. Didn't know much about the existing images but I've been testing out a few and ended up using ViX which I think has a good mix of useful utilities/features and above all stability of the box which is paramount if you're going to leave it in the hands of your wife. Great work guys!
Looking forward to the Hbbtv plugin, specifically the browser module since having a web-browser is really the only thing I'm missing compared to a regular HTPC (that, and some games).
