Silverfox as you made a bid/offer not the asking price I see no reason to fall out I offered the asking price. £5 is still £5 like it says in the rules you like to show everybody this is not an auction. I offered the full price asked. but if you still want it for the same price you go ahead. but if you dont .dany pm with your paypal addy and I will send it straight away. a bargain is still a bargain.

like you said dont want a falling out but its all about playing fair

i was in negotiations and its only fair to wait till negotiations are over

you may have offered the asking price but that doent mean its your right

i will tell you a story that happened to me in pakistan i wanted to go 300 miles and booked a taxi all the cabbies where saying 3000 Rupees to go there is was Multan to kotaddu
one cabbie said 1500 Rupees and we agreeed
we got in the car and he drove round the corner to the petrol pump to fill up and asked also where in Kotallam do we wanna be dropped off. at this point we said not Kotallam but kotaddu
the driver said oh shite i thought it was kotallam, kotaddu is further and i underquoted you [which yes he did]
so we said to the driver if its not within yr budget then we shall get out and get another taxi no hard feeling

at which point he said no My Word is My Bond i will take you now

so the moral is he didnt get his asking price and if he was offered his asking price his duty was to say no as he did and continue at his negotiated price

btw we ended up giving him 1700 rupees 200 extra but that was because of his honesty and respect
