Vix 1.3 to 2.2 - Will i lose my hdd content

Hi all

Got a few movies that wont play on Vix 1.3 they just freeze after so long or the picture freezes but the sound continues.

Its a good reason to upgrade to 2.2

But will i lose all of the films and recordings on my hard drive during the upgrade? Or can i just initialize the disk when 2.2 on and keep everything?

Reflashing any image doesn't affect the recordings you have on the HDD.

After upgrading you should just need to mount the hdd as /media/hdd and your recordings will be there as before.

you can even remove yr hdd and install it into another linux e2 based receiver and not loose any recordings infact it will think the hdd belongs to that receiver

cheers guys all sorted and am now playing with Vix 2.2. And my problematic films play now.
