Hello

When you download a Vix update from the receiver using software update, does that update to the latest drivers or is that needed to be done manually?

if there are latest drivers available and tested then yes they are normally pushed via the online software update

The latest drivers are incorporated within the latest publicly released VIX image, you do not need to flash the drivers separately.
