    Flashing screen. Vu Duo2.

Hi everyone. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Wasn't sure if to go on Vix or Vu.

I'm running openVix 5.0.013. Box has been running fine until recently. About 3/4 week ago, I was running box via a amp with HDMI through. It started flashing every now and then thought it might have been a faulty port on the amp so tried multiple ports. Tv broke so I replaced both Tv and amp with a 4k amp. So ruling out the amp, Bt and hdmi cable I can only assume it's the box, really annoying as I may be just out side the 12 month period which is annoying. When you pay extra thinking you get better quality with a vu over something like a zgemma. Here is a short video, flashing happens periodically. This video is about 20 seconds and happens twice. Sometimes it's ok for 10 minutes then flashes 6 times in 20 seconds.

    Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

I know you've bought a new amp but when the Duo 2 is connected directly to the TV without the amp does it still do this?

I havnt tried with the new tv, but with the old tv it did seem to be ok( but tv stopped working about 2 days after plugged directly into TV) so not the most accurate test. What are you thinking king? Amp causing a problem..... I ran with the old amp for a year or so with no problem.

You need to try with the Duo2 directly into the Amp.

Can you plug the Vu+ Duo2 directly into your TV, and you will know if you have a problem with the Amp.

P.S. My previous post should have said directly into the TV. My Bad.

You firstly need to prove if it's either Duo or the amp. I personally would get a 'know good' HDMI cable and plug the Duo directly to the TV if it continues to flash on lose the picture it's the Duo if it doesn't do it then plug the Duo in via the amp again using 'known good' cables then if it does it again it's the amp causing the issue. Could be dragging down the signal or something, you'd then have to investigate why it's doing this...... Good luck

My 1st amp was a Denon (may I ask why u asked this has there been a issue) my new amp is a Onkyo (it is second hand. However none of my other devices have any problems going through the amp. I have a nvidia shield and PS4 that have no issues.

I have tried several hdmi cables (including the one from my PS4 and shield that work ok with the amp)

I have also used different hdmi ports on both amps.

Thanks for all responses so far.
