    Samsung Kills 3D

In the latest Flatpanels communication they state that none of Samsungs new 2016 TV models will support 3D ....
Quote "Not even the most expensive TVs that will sell for several thousands dollars will have 3D, Samsung confirmed to FlatpanelsHD at Samsung Forum 2016"

I'm in the minority who like it and I'm wondering what to buy now - I was planning on a 2016 Samsung but what with them dropping 3D and LG dropping it across the non premium range the options are drying up fast! I've returned three Hisense TVs now due to issues.

It's quite bizarre as China is a massively growing market for 3D but I guess that's where the likes of Hisense and TCL are covering them.

I read one thing saying that in France Samsung had a promotion where the TV didn't come with any 3D glasses in the box but if you rang them they were free. Not a single person who had bought one of the sets took them up on the offer!

I have a vast collection of 3D films and love it. Avatar 3D, Jurassic World 3D, Finding Nemo 3D, Up 3D to name a few are awesome viewing.

I don't care if I'm in a small minority, 3D films on a high quality tv is superb viewing. Especially when the tv is an OLED 4K. Yum Yum. I thought my previous Panny Plasma 3D tv was good but this awesome LG tv takes the 3D to a completely different level.

Curved tv screens are ok If you have a small straight on viewing area. Some family households do not have this as the sofa or chairs are to the right or left.
I've recently been to my sons house and was sitting in a chair to the right on his latest curved 4ktv. I noticed I lost viewing sight of the right hand side of the screen.
I suppose its horses for courses with these Tv's. It suits your viewing environment or doesn't.

I have not bought a 4K tv yet.. I have been thinking about it for months..
But just cant justify replacing the 51 inch LG 3D..
Especially with E2.. No 4K channels.. And its still early days for IPTV providers..
I`m an amazon prime subscriber now for the 2nd year.. and not subscribed to netflix but have a shared account with a friend of mine who has a 4K tv.. and Even he advises not to buy a 4k tv yet.. as 4k has very limited content..
But then that just his opinion.. as i aint got one.. YET.. lol

I recently bought LG OLED 55" flatscreen for lounge, best tv I've ever had. HD pq is amazing, sd is excellent compared to any other tv.

I bought a LG 4kTv (not oled) and the HD picture quality output from my VU+2 duo is superb compared to my normal HD TV. Obviously this is due to the Tv upscaling the picture.
This is what some people are unaware of. The upscaling from HD to 4K on these modern TV's is like watching a 4K picture.

I have to say that with 2 Panny plasma's, I was surprised when I installed my Acer 4k ips Monitor, the picture is really impressive not just in hd but also in sd..... having no 4K input (at the moment) I can only assume it will be better
