Vu duo stuck on start up.

Hello, i have a vu duo that the sound suddenly stopped. only way i could get it to work was turning it off and back on again. id had enough so reflashed the image but now i cant get it to pass the loading screen, ive tried all different images, old and new and i cant get it to budge. There no access via the remote controller but can access via control center on laptop via telnet and ftp. Any idea's im just stuck what to do next. Its so frustrating.

Could you try flashing an image without a HDD connected?

Format the usb using the HP usb formatter or do a FULL format and try.

Sounds like bad flash or something stopping it from booting up

Okay well the process I've been doing is as follows...
Format USB to fat32. Then load latest bootloader. Safely remove from Laptop. Plug into front USB port of vu duo with only power lead and hdmi connected at the rear. Turn on box, USB reads and conpletes within seconds. Reboot and remove USB.
I then format USB again to fat32. Install new or old build (I've tried server all old and new) insert into usb slot on duo and switch on at rear. It does the update and installs Untill remove and reboot screen comes up. I remove the USB and turn off then back on again. But it's still stuck on the same loading screen. I don't think it's the USB, I think it's something on the box stopping it from loading but not a clue what as it was working fine till I had the problem of no sound, this being the reason I reflashednin the first place..

You said before that telnet was still working.

If it still is, try "init 4" to stop enigma, and then "init 3" to restart it.

    Are there any crash/debug logs?

ive tried init 4 and init 3 and nothing happens, i;ve tried lots of different builds and still stuck at the same screen, what would be the telnet command to check the status of the system to see if any bugs or errors are present?

    thanks for all your help

Crash logs are usually held in /media/hdd/logs
