New box needed...dilema

All,

I am looking to shift of to VM while keeping sat (if need be) . After a new box which supports VM and Sat however...If possible i would like just a DVB-C with a Sat Channel list and layout (i.e. Sly Sports 1 HD = 401) Of cause this channel will be coming from VM. I am aware of dslayer's plugin however not sure if that is just for cab+sat boxes where a user wants a Sly Channel list with the SD channels replaced with VM HD Versions. Is it possible to have channels from VM but a channel list with HD channels replacing SD versions like Sky?

4K would be nice however it can come at a hefty charge. I have seen the Octagon SF4008 however doesn't look like it is Vix Capable yet, if you like..(correct me if wrong)

I have a vu solo se v2 it just a cable tuner and it has the sly layout and channels and I got it off WOS

Hi if i was you & based on your choice id look at mutant hd51 £189 with twin tuners from wos plus you can add an internal hdd at a later date, the os mega £179 ok you can add hdd also.

if your looking long term the mutant is a no brainer & its blistering fast box, ive got the mutant with both cable & sky tuners plus a 500gb hdd installed & it works perfectly

Soooo, looked on WoS site and only seem to be able to add 2 satellite tuners? Do WoS do cable tuners or do I have to buy them from elsewhere?

WoS are currently out of stock of Hybrid cable tuners for the HD51. If you had scrolled down further you would have seen it.

If i was to get the Vu Solo, can I have a Satellite layout of channels like I have in AB 28.2? I want to move over to cable with the box I select working exactly the same as my current Vu+ Zero but of cause with the HD channels swapping out the SD versions...

I mentioned I have AB 28.2, are you saying this is the same? Or are you saying the normal ABM is the same on cable?

Ok, so I'm looking at the Mutant HD51, obviously i'd buy it from WoS Sponsor and ask for it to be flashed to Vix straight away. I'd hook both the sat and cable up, scan etc for channel, now this is where there could be a problem.

Is there away to have my bouquets exactly like AB 28.2e? Does DSayers add on do this? Like
Mentioned earlier, I want to port over to cable + sat from just sat so my box UI is exactly the same as before it just has the HD channels in there swapping out the SD channel.

I'm not exactly sure what your after but my plugin wil download the custommix to swap unavailable sky hd channels with virgin hd channels. Ie sky sports 1 hd will be swapped for the cable version. Without a custommix.xml using abm or abe2 sky uk your area custom will swap the unavailable sat channels with there sd equivalent
