So libav is replaced by ffmpeg? Mediatomb plugin requires libav.
So, to be able to still stream live TV to DLNA clients, do I have to go back to version 3, or could you bring libav back?

Isn't anyone else using mediatomb for dlna-streming?
Is anyone else using dlna steaming might be a better question.

ok, forget mediatomb. Is there a chance to get libav back?
As above please "Is there a chance to get libav back?"

Looking at the dependencies for this and what's available from feeds, the following two files aren't available from the feeds:-
- libavformat53
- libavutil51
However, you could try installing the following two files (available from feeds) which may work:-
- libavformat57
- libavutil55
This is done via telnet commands:-
If you get no errors installing these two files then install mediatomb plugin using following command (assuming you have already FTP the plugin to "/tmp" folder):-Code:opkg update opkg install libavformat57 opkg install libavutil55
All this is just a theory and therefore can't be relied upon to not cause more issues with your image. I therefore recommend you make a full image backup so you can flash back to this in case of image problems.Code:opkg --force-depends --force-reinstall --force-maintainer --force-overwrite install /tmp/*.ipk
Hi bbbuk,
Thanks but that doesn't work, same error meesage
What exactly does error message state and is at whilst trying to install mediatomb plugin itself or whilst trying to run the plugin (if that's at all possible)?
Hi, error:
Cannot satisfy the follow dependencies for enimga2-plugin-extensions-mediatomb: libav *
I don't think the plugin is compiling. Maybe someone else can check?
Thanks! I might give it a try. I already reverted to the older version, but sooner or later...
When I unpack the ipk, it is blank. When I unbuild the ipk, it is just a control file. Went through a few images, same result.

Finally. I got mediatomb installed to v. 4.1.016 like this:
Download all libav* files (excluding libavahi*) with "wget" from
http://openpli.ido.cz/openpli-4/mips32el/
to some directory of your choice in vu.
cd to that directory and execute as root:
"opkg install ./libav*"
You'll get one error, but it's ok. Then install mediatomb plugin and it works.
