[ABM-MISC] Dsayers custommix importer plugin support thread

ipk to install my latest sat_282_sky_uk_CustomMix.xml from my github branch. What this will do is swap the none working sat hd channels for vm so you only need one set of sky bouquets using Autobouquetsmaker


This should work on any box with sat and cable and most enigma2 images using AutoBouquetsMaker

To install it on box
Menu > Plugins > Green (Download) > System Plugins > Select ABMcustommiximporter > press OK and install



If you are on old image/do not have access to plugins install it on box


Ftp the ipk tmp

OpenVIX
Menu > setup > VIX > Ipkg install or install local extensions
memory/tmp
Press ok on the package
press green to install.

OpenATV
Menu... setup... software management... install local extension
memory/tmp
Press ok on the package
press green to install.


Reboot box

now you need to set your bouquets
menu>setup>service searching>AutoBouquetsMaker> providers

my recommended settings are:

sky roi: no
sky uk: yes
sky uk: area HD not custom or sd
generate bouquets yes
channel swap to yes
virgin uk: yes
virgin generate bouquets to no i have main bouquet to yes for epgrefresh
Press green to save.

In AutoBouquetsMaker you need to go to providers order sat_282_sky_uk needs to be at the top highlight it and press blue button to move it up once done press green to save.

In AutoBouquetsMaker go to configure and check include 'not indexed' channels is yes this will give you the extra roi channels ie sky sports 5 roi green to save.


now we need to setup Dsayers CustomMix plugin

menu>setup>service searching>Dsayer CustomMix

Press yellow to download the xml

Change Enable autofetch to yes if you want it to download the xml automatically

Lead time change this to the time you want it to download before you have abm scheduled to run.

Now you can run abm

If you decide this isn't for you in the plugin press blue button to delete file then Enable autofetch to no.

Problems

The most common mistakes are:

• Selecting SD/custom region. You must select a HD region!
• Forgetting to enable not-indexed channels.

If you have double checked your settings and still experiencing problems, please ensure that:

• You have the latest ABM config file. ABM menu > update config files
• You have the latest custom mix file.
• Run ABM again.

If problem persists, attach a debug log showing your ABM run. See here

This thread is for support and swap request

Please try not to ask unrelated questions ie epg settings while I try to help the best I can the last thread for the custommix updater plugin had unnecessarily questions please start a thread or search in the cable section for guides.

Reporting issues if you find a sat hd channel that hasn't been swapped for cable try to provide as much info as you can ie the sky channel number and name and if possible the virgin channel number.

If you have suggestions for swaps either post here or create a pull request on my GitHub branch
I have Swaped HD channels that don't clear on sat and not available on cable with there sd equivalent the swaps can be found here So please check this list before saying channels are missing.

Have you considered adding these 2 as well M8

No. You'll need to create your own xml file.

What are people's thoughts on the latest issues should I replace the original channels and delete the unavailable or leave it as it is to see what happens by the end of the week?

Vm channel order

Hi I want to use all my cable channels but hate the order they are in. What would you recommend as the best way to reorder them the same way as sat and add any sat channels that aren't on cable.

This plugin will use sky order and swap HD channels with cable if you want it a different way maybe start a new thread and see if you can make a custommix. From what you've said that will be hard work as im only swapping a few channels you want to reorder all vm channels to match sat but start a new thread and see what can be done

My opinion is for you to leave it as it is now.
We see what happens within the next few weeks.
I personally haven't changed anything with ABM or your Customix file

Good morning buddy, now that it appears sky via non sky receiver is dead are you able to make a custom bouquet made up of vm and freeview please?

That's my next plan to do a vm mix with extra Freesat channels included but it maybe next weekend when I get round to doing it. For now I'm going to put sky sports news vm sd in place of ssn

Ok added Sky Sports news HQ VM SD on 495. I dont want to make drastic changes yet as its still early days.

Go to Dsayers CustomMix press yellow to fetch file then rerun abm

Removed Sky Sports News HQ vm sd from 495 and reshuffled Sky Sports RoI channels so SSP 4 RoI is 497, SSP 5 RoI is 498 and SSP NwsHQ RoI is 499.

Still going to see where this goes before making big changes
