original vu+duo

i normaly use a dreambox se
but santa has giving me a vu+ duo for xmas
ive installed a 3.5 sata hdd
but i was wondering what you guys recommend as image and plugins etc?
i normaly use vix team channel on static dish
but this will replace my se on a motor in which case i use catseyes unless vix team do a motor list?

one tuner will be fed off of a motor and the othe tuner
will be on a static,so therefore hoping to be able to watch 13east example ,and record bbc1 scotland etc ,is this possible guys?

you can use either the catseyes motor bouquet or the Vhannibal one ( i prefer the Vhannibal packs my self ), along side the OE-Alliance AutoBouquetsManager plugin so that you can also keep the sky uk channel line up and Numeration.

and yes with the setup you describe you will be able to watch and record different satellites at the same time.

im using the same set up on a vu duo tuner A is connected to my motor and tuner B is a static dish and works perfect if you are watching a foreign channel and you want to record somthing on 28.2 E as phoenix says im using vix 3.0 with Vhannibal settings and the AutoBouquetsManager and foun it to be fantastic especially if you have a motor puts a bouquet on packages like sky italy witch just work as well as sky uk fantastic little plugin

i liked to use the ichannel on my se ,is there similar for the vu+.

How the ABM should already be installed, if not go into plugins.downlod.extensions.

Latest is 539 but you can install that and do a software update.

Never tried the I channel plugin

yes the 1 channel plugin is a bit hit and miss it is there under extensions some films work on it but a lot don't and its prone to give you the odd green screen

as pointed out ABM is installed in the ViX image as standard, so if you need any help setting the box up to use it in conjunction with a motorised Bouquet just post and i'm sure there will be a good few people willing to lend a hand and help you get setup.

how do u configure tuner?
mine is normalt set positioner /simple.

I have Tuner A fixed and B as motor,mits setupas simple positoner and than my lat and lonitude .- rest i left as default

These are my files for MGcamd.. work flawlessly 100% of the time..

Just edit your own details in the newcamd.list file..

VIX image fixed sly?

Picon - MMC black onee, there in the picons sub forum

EPG - fixed sly than go into epg settings if using vix and enable and configure CEPG for opentv on 28.2E

ide like to say a big thanks to everyone on this thread
for there help ,im up and running with everything
watching sky italia on tuner B and recording bbc1 scotland tuner A
the only thing that crashes is the 1channel ,which ran fine on a dm se.

I,m getting my vu+Uno on the 3rd jan from WOS, will i be able to use the files in your post (mgcamd) in my uno
also could you say where they need putting, i will be using vix image pre flashed by the guys at WOS.

hi guys looking for a bit of advice again.
this box froze on me a couple times now and ive
turned it off and on but it took ages to boot up again.
can I flash latest image via remote (if so how?)
or do I need reflash from usb ?
could u please link me to latest image ,I had a look but not too sure.

Hi mate

If your box has rebooted you can if setup rewind to a different image saved on your hdd , if not
your find by stb type the files you need make sure you download the one for your receiver
