Are you happy with the board layout or what changes would you recommend?

I've been looking at ways of making posting easier for forum members and thought why not ask you, the members

Do you find find the currunt forum layout confusing?

If so what would you change with the layout?

Do you find the ViX Team Image support sections confusing that you now that members have to add thread pre-fixes?

Do you have any other suggestions? If so please post them.

for me, its pretty straight forward, but i have been on forums for over a decade. one thing i have often wondered about though (and i dont know if its the skin im using) is why is the Vu section at the very bottom of all the satellite sections? instead of right at the top?

The main reason for this was so that members who are looking for VU+ Support dont just stop and the VU+ section, this way scrolling down they see more of what the forum has to offer

The board is just right: fast, clean and simple to navigate around.

Too many sites these days are so completed it's takes you ages to find things - not the case here.

i'm in agreement with both users above my self.

the forum in its current state is perfectly fine, every thing is laid out well and easy to find / use, i dont think we need over complicate things by chasing a mythical, magical perfect forum layout, it's pretty damned fine as it is rite now.

i had the same issue that digidude had. appreciate the reasoning that you supply sicilian but in truth i simply scroll to the bottom anyway. so you are not pushing me to look at other receiver forums, you are simply making it harder for me to get at the vu forum. the forum is primarily dedicated to vix (as it should be) so i really believe that vu and vix should be top of the order. if i want to look at spderbox, dm800, clarke or whatever i will scroll to see it. why should i have to scroll to see what the majority of users want to see

Ive always assumed that the receivers were simply in alphabetical order and i do not accept the above argument that were forcing any one view any thing they dont want to.. it takes me literally seconds to scroll to the sections that interest me.

For my personal opinion.. I would also like to see the Vu forums at the top.. and then the Clarke-Tech next..

Agree with fintannl on this.. This forums priority is the Vix Team.. So i think the Vix compatable STB`s should be at the top..

I do have an interest in all STB`s and have had most over the years.. but they are by no means important to me..

Members come to this forum for the Vix Team images and give or to receive support on Vix.. So therfore i believe the STB`s that VIX support SHOULD be at the top..

Its no biggie either way.. Just my opinion..

As pheonix say.. hit the wheel on your mouse and you can be at the forum you want in a second..

phoenix, you miss the argument. sicilian is not pointing out that you are 'forced' to look at other receiver discussions. He just wants to make sure that other parts of the forum get used. All I point out is that is that if i want to use a part of the forum i will so do but most of the forum users are vix folk so the forum should be designed towards such folk as a primary. I do not say that i object to scrolling to the bottom of a screen.

I should have also added to my earlier post what Pheonix stated. The receiver sections are in alphabetical order. Which to me is the most logical as we also support Clarke Tech / Xtrend, so would be unfair to prioritise one brand over another hence why left alphabetical.
