although lacking hdmi, with a price of 430 and the above specs, think this will give the vu really hard time

I've removed the images as they advertised a satellite equipment supplier, see rule 4 here http://www.vuplus-support.co.uk/show...the-rules-here

Personally I wouldn't pay £430 for a clone receiver, with non existent support and would doubt that the warranty would be worth the paper its printed on either. Look at all the tuner/heat issues peeps experienced with clone DM800 clones!

I dont know if its worth paying 530EUR for dm8000 clone. My experience with clone dm800 isnt good - faulty tuner. I bet this clone isnt 100% problem free

I have to agree there Boss I have had an original dm800 and a clone and can confirm that the clones are S***t when it comes to tuners and qaulity parts (like capacitors and alike) I would rather buy another VU+ any day m8.

Quick update that i think should be shared, I have been doing some research on these 8000's (clones) and have come across a potential fire hazard that has been uncovered by someone who recently purchased 1 of these, now it could be a one-off (but i doubt it) they had there box running for just 1 week and the box kept rebooting all the time up-to 3-4 times a day also the dish would not move, when the person opened up the clone 80000 he noticed the power supply pcb was brown in one certain area (note this is after only 7 days of use) and was very hot to the touch ! so this sounds very dodgy to me and could well catch fire or worse burn your house down while you and your family are tucked up in bed, so to sum up be very weary if you are going to buy one of these CLONE 8000's and monitor the power supply for @ least a week or so to be sure your safe.

VU+ has nothing to worry about...

If the genuine 8000hd was this price I'd still buy and recommend the VU+. I have mine 4 months (ish) and could not commend it highly enough.
Dreambox are under pressure and its not from clones.

heres a piccy of the board as i say it might be a one off as the latest clones are meant to have a cooler and more powerful supply fitted now.
