What is the best box to buy ?

and if i put cable feed in will that connect me to internet? Or do i need satellite internet feed via ethernet cable and a box. Sorry if i am asking to much but i want the best with at least 7 day EPG and be able to set reminders on box to turn over when progamme is about to start. Oh and HDMI connection.

First have you got a satellite dish setup? Second an internet feed can be used to update EPG, plugins, software update etc... Its can also be used for other purposes that we dont discuss here.

Pure Linux Solo, ET5000, DUO, ET9000 and Ultimate / DM8000.

All good boxes and sponsor is a nice guy to deal with, bought quite few off him and never had any problems.

lol well most people on here have those that stanman listed above and they are very popular. just figure your budget out and then we can pretty much give you our opinions on the best box for that budget

Thanks mate will do buying one for mum as well. I need to know if its just an internet connection she needs or an unlimited download connection as if its just an internet connection a certain company is doing one for free every day lite its called.

its just an internet connection ... ive even tested it with 3g and works great ... obviously if you are going to be doing streaming then you will need a reasonable speed etc but just for watching tv then an internet connection should do perfectly
