    SNR and AGV

Just fitted my new LNB and before I did so, I made a note of some of the SNR/AGV for various channels to compare them.

What's odd is that in most cases the signal strength has gone up a fair bit, but the signal quality is up on a few and down on a few.

All working 100% fine, just found it a little off that with a lot more signal strength, i was getting less quality on some channels (although was also getting more on others), just curious thats all

    A few examples

    Code:
                  old new
                 SNR/AGV SNR/AGV

    BBC1 HD 94/73 81/89 (13 less quality, 16 more strength)
    BBC2 80/69 81/78
    ITV HD 83/69 81/78
CH4 HD 68/39 76/80 (nice improvement of both)
    CH5 75/71 77/76
    Sky 1 76/54 71/78
    Sky News 77/56 66/80
    BBC news 86/71 85/76

The only way to really test is with a installers meter tbh. I think receivers can be a bit unreliable for readings of this sort. An installers meter is calibrated.
