Does Mutant HD51 have low SNR?

Does Mutant HD51 have low SNR?
My old Solo2 was much better.. and the Sky box has better SNR..
Is that why the Mutant is cheapish?

I have 2 HD51’s and a Vu+duo 2. If I connect the HD51 I never get anything more than late 70’s snr. The VU+ on the same connection gets 100 SNR. It’s never been a issue as it has never affected the quality of the channels being watched.

Right I am getting mid-60's on my Mutant HD51.. and I was getting mid 70s on VU+ solo2..

So would be right in saying the problem is more with hardware than software?

Most likely your Cabling, LNB etc but if its not an issue don’t worry about it.

    Low SNR

My Mutant HD51 has SNR in Mid-60s, and my old Solo2 was mid-70s.. and I am getting pixelation..

Is this a hardware issue or a software issue?

As Andy has replied in your other post. Check your cabling and connectors. All points to that.

What might be ok to you isn’t necessary ok with a professional. You are best paying a bit extra and getting a professional installer in and letting them checking it over and testing it etc.

They have acknowledged a bug with the tuner values. They'll fix it in due course

Oh is there a thread to that? will that impact SNR in general for Mutant HD51?
So values reported incorrect.. is there a problem with driver in general?
