    EPG delay

This is in comparison to my VuSolo2, which I assume is slower to my new Mutant..
When I press the EPG button.. the EPG, the EPG framework appears.. but take extra second for EPG data to appear.IMG_1009.jpg
And I do have my EBG data on USB

Are you sure? On my Solo2 when the epg appears it is populated. There is no other delay at all.

You mean takes second or so to populate or its not populating at all?

All receivers take a second of so to populate.

If its not populating check your EPG settings and whatever setup you've done to import EPG.

Mine don't. By the time the graphical EPG displays everything is there (including all picons). Perhaps it's because I only have Freeview and so only ~100 channels?

Quite possibly. Depends how much epg data is in the bouquet.

Live EPG data is held in RAM. It does not matter where you store it. The storage location only applies at startup//shutdown/restart

    What skin are you using?

My old Solo2 was instantaneous.. and the Mutant HD51 is a second delay..

Both EPG was from satellite, I even tried to put on USB.. but that didn't make a difference..

So it does pose an opportunity.. if the solo can be instantaneous.. can all others also be improved?

As Abu has said (post 10)where you have your epg stored makes no difference to the speed.
I personally didn’t even notice until I just tried it. Probably because it’s a split second before it appears.
I don’t see a split second being an issue.

Suppose, I have been accustomed to Solo2.. and it was/is noticeable to me..

If someone can point me to the code that services the EPG..I can have a look

    The enigma2 code is at:
    Code:
    git://github.com/OpenViX/enigma2.git
The EPG display code starts in lib/python/Components/EpgList.py.
