Since it is just the enigma2 binary I need it looks like I can use the nextp3 one (which is all I can build at the moment).

EDIT: And can reproduce the crash....

Yes, I removed the 3 jpg files and when I navigate to BBC/Live the files are (re)downloaded and a crash occurs as described. However ...

I deleted all icons from the cache, but left the folders intact. After that I was able to play iPlayer live.

So as a workaround deleting all icons from the cash seems to work. I didn't try playing youtube or other channels and then going back to iplayer to see what happens. Hopefully the devs will sort this out soon.
    Kind regards,

    Mick

I have a fix. Not sure why the original code didn't work, though, so still looking at it.

    Two PRs.
Not reworking data that isn't there:
    Code:
    https://github.com/OpenViX/enigma2/pull/216
Letting the Exif finding code know what file-type it has:
    Code:
    https://github.com/OpenViX/enigma2/pull/217
It's the former which was causing the crash.

    Actually they won't!
What has been done is to remove a set of patches that was causing the problem and apply various other ones from PLi. This negates the need for these two patches.
So the fix will be in the next release.

Either way thank you again for taking the time to look into it and instigate a fix.
    Kind regards,

    Mick
