    Box Stuck in Standby

Hi, I have a vu+solo which is stuck in standby, showing the vu+solo on the front panel. Have tried the usual quick fixes of turning power off and on and changed the remote batteries but no change. Any ideas folks?

    Hi,

I think you need to re flash the image. I had this with my Ultimo 4K several times, have you an up to date backup if so its very straight forward.

Re-flashing the box will give you the default ViX image for your box.

If you've made a settings+plugins backup, you can restore them onto the image you've flashed, putting back any changes you may have made.

If you haven't a backup, then you still have a working system, but will need to start from scratch adding any changes you need.

Flashing an image is the equivalent of a factory reset.

Factory Reset is very misleading and it doesn’t mean wiping the system clean. Re-flashing the receiver and setting up as new is your best bet if you don’t want to restore any settings/plugins.

Thanks for that lads but the box wont even let me reflash the image, just sitting on the standby screen! Any other ideas? Box is just in a continuous "please wait" with the revolving VIX.

Try a different memory stick - the smaller the better.
