    ABM for Freesat crashing receiver

Evening folks, I've just tried a few times to run a Freesat scan on ABM but when it gets to reading channels it crashes my box. Had been fine up until update to Vix image 5.1.012 on 18th Jan. Not near a laptop at the min, so can't upload log. Any ideas?

I experienced this today, not had a chance to look further into it. What box are you using? Can you attach the crashlog here please?

Do I need to delete ABM and re-install from the feed to implement your fix?

Ok. So I followed the instructions. Same error on my gigablue uhd ue on 5.1.003.

Wasnt sure which one to install, tried the non-cortex one, that didnt install properly, so then tried the cortex one. that installed but had the same error. Socopied them both over and install via opkg and that also didnt work.

Crash is exactly the same error.

    Any ideas?

Do I have to upgrade to the latest 5.1.xxx first?

The file with mips in the filename is for mips processor based boxes.

The other file is (I think) for the newer 4k boxes.

    correction.

So I tried mips first, it said it didnt install, so I tried the cortex one. No dice. same error I got before any patch attempts.

perhaps its a patch that only work on the latest build?

Probably best providing crash/debug logs to see if the logs produce a different error.

I'd start again, very easy if you took an image backup first.

You can't just try different ipk's and hope one will work - you need the cortex one if you've still got a 4k box.

There are instructions in the first post of the download thread.

Yeah I have no image backup I don't thinnk. Perhaps installing the wrong one first was a mistake I can't recover from.

I'll likely just wait until the official build, as I don't really need the bouquet maker once its setup.

    Thanks.
