Tuner and maybe DiseqC problem Tiviar Alpfa

Hi, I have trouble when I turn off or put my Tiviar Alpfa PLus in standby mode that the tuner can not find the tuner and get error message "can`t find tuner" when I turn box on. When switching to a different transponder than the one I have set, the tuner turns on and everything goes well to switch to other channels and transponders with picture and sound etc. If I have the receiver on all the time everything is OK but when I put the box in standby or turn off mode and turn it on then comes this problem. I have tested different settings in tuner configuration but the same result. The dish has 4 pcs Quad LNB coupled with Spaun 4-1 DiseqC 1.0 switches and maybe these are not compitable with Tiviar Alpfa Plus. Hopefully it is not switches because Spaun is very good everyone says. The problem is the same with all four satellites. Maybe there is som settings in to box or other tricky way to solve the problem.

Hi, for exra info it is Spaun SAR 411 WSG DiseqC switches I use to my dish with 4 pcs LNB and these LNB is connected very near my dish with 4 pcs DiseqC switches. When I use my other receiver VU Solo 4k I dont have this problem with switching transponders and polarity. So it is only Tiviar Alpfa Plus who has this problem with switching transponder and polarity. With Tiviar Alpfa plus original Fortis FW i didn`t have this problem so maybe it something with OpenViX drivers or something else. Hopefully I will get some good advice from this forum.

    Tuning problem Tiviar Alpfa+

Hi, I have still problem with my Tiviar Alpfa Plus and latest OpenViX image. Everything works fine until I reboot my box and then get errormessage "tuning failed" and no signal. If I after that change channel to a different one with other polarity I get signal and picture and everything works great. The problem is when I reboot my box. I have tested to do full search for channels on every satellite and after that reboot box but I get all the time the same problem. I have another Tiviar Alpfa Plus with OpenATV image and also there I get the same problem. Please I need help here from someone experience who can analyze my logfile and see whats maybe wrong. I have adding my latest logfile here.

Both OpenViX & OpenATV use the same drivers.

I've tested the Tiviar Alpha+ with both 2 way and 4 way diseqc switches with no issues. Also tested with a diseqc motor. No issues at all.

Issue with something local to you, tuner setup issue, switch compatibility issue, but nothing that OpenViX can fix for you.

Ok thanks for your answer. Its still sad that it will not work so maybe it is my Spaun SAR411 4-1 switches who is the problem or somethin else. What type of Diseqc switch did you use? Was it Spaun or something else? Strange that Fortis original image for Tiviar Alpfa+ worked. So the logfile didnt say anything what was wrong or any idea what can be the problem?

Hi Sicilian, you was right I have now tested to connect my Tiviar Alpfa Plus directly without Spaun Diseqc switches to my Quad LNB and everything works now perfect. This means that Spaun SAR 411 4/1 Diseqc switches does not works with Tiviar Alpfa Plus but with VU Solo 4K. So then I wonder which Diseqc 4/1 switch can solve my problem? Maybe EMP Diseqc 4/1 switch or what? I use 4 satellites and 4 pcs Quad LNB connected to 2 pcs of Tiviar Alpfa Plus. These boxes have two tuners each so I need 4 output from Diseqc switches for full recording capacity. Today I use 4 pcs of Spaun 4/1 Diseqc switches.

Hi, according to this "I've tested the Tiviar Alpha+ with both 2 way and 4 way diseqc switches with no issues." Very happy if you can give me information about Diseqc switches what model etc?
