    laggy menu \ channel selection

    hi guys.

i found (and always have found) that moving about the menus is a bit laggy, it maybe because everythings on HDD

so i want to move everything that can be from internal HDD, onto USB, to see if this helps.

how can i get epg data, picons and timeshift onto USB.

symptoms - if i press down to bring up tv guide, and then hold the down key, its will pause and then jump about 5 channels, and pressing ok to select a channel it will think about it.
i thought this box was fast, but im hoping its just a setting.

also, currently using blue hd skin, but im sure it does it on vix day and night.

any tips on speeding this STB up would be great! i always set it up from scratch

is there a config file where i can specify picons \ etc etc to live on USB stick.

    thanks!!!

EPG data & Timeshift are fine on the HDD. Picons on the other hand is not. You are best storing Picons to your internal flash drive, it has plenty of space, or if you prefer move the Picons to a USB flash drive, but the EPG data & Timeshift are fine on your HDD.

    Hi,
do you use the menu to be displayed on the small LCD of the Duo2 which can be configured by LCD4Linux? This also causes quite some lags.

    ciao

I have picons, EPG and timeshift on HDD without an issue on my Solo2 so I wouldn't worry about them.

If you know how, can you telnet/putty in to your box and type:
    Code:
    top
This will display a list of running processes on your box, including CPU %, etc. See what your highest CPU % usage is?
