Yesterday i tried to update my box 1st ota update & my box got stuck in boot up mode so i restored by usb to 5.1.007. i looked in vix image downloads & version 5.1.007 is the most upto date listed & is what i currently have installed so update by usb isnt an option.
008 is currently out and can be downloaded for usb flash. 009 should be up soon. just make a backup and restore setting

Same problem with my box both on-line and USB update from 007 to 008 cause box to hang at booting message with or without restore settings or clean install hopefully 009 will fixOriginally Posted by mrxbox360
Just great i tried to ota update to v 5.1.009 & it done the same so it stuck in boot mode, can one of the testers or mods look into this & get it sorted please. there is no 5.1.009 usb download so im flashing my box back to 5.1.007 & it can stay like that until i know things are sorted.

Flash 008, do not update to it.
Well ive just tried that with same results as windy1603 posted up the box just hangs on boot up, i always use the same trusty usb pen so i know thats not the issue. also i just updated ota my hd51 box & that worked perfect so it must be a compatibility or driver issue with the last few updates for the sf4008.

Fresh flash release 5.1.009, its boots fine on SF4008, I've just tested it for booting.

My test image works OK so my guess is something might have gone flaky in the release feeds for this box.

008 or 009 (stable) - neither work for me - usb or online
Ive just had the same results by usb still hanging on boot up, so back to 5.1.007
Unless any of you guys having issues post logs theres nothing we can do.
What tuners do you have installed? I'll try replicate exact what you guys have.

I have just checked & i dont have any logs listed even thought it is set up correctly with my user name & email addy etc. my set up is the same as that picture above apart from the version number & date installed. i have installed in tuner one the twin dvb-c internal module & in tuner two dvb-s internal module (not used ) - the resolution is is set to 2160 & multi resolution as i use a new top end 60htz samsung 4k tv.
How can you set up detais if it fails to boot?
The test is following:
Flash 009. (Flash using image manager or USB). Do not update.
Does it start?
Do you get the option to set input etc?
Does it crash?
Does it go in a bootloop?
Can you telnet in?
I’ve done an online update to 008 and 009 without any issues
