    Looping at starting

    Hi all,

I flashed my Solo2 today and was in the middle of setting it up again (network scan) and it switched off. Since then, it's stuck in a boot loop.

On mains switch on, the box will show the word 'Starting' for about half a second then reboot again. It will not even get to the point where it finds a new image on the USB so that I can flash again. Opened the case and noted the fan isn't starting.

It's lasted me 4 years or more now...has it finally given up? Or is there something else I can try.

    Thanks,

try disconnecting the satellite cables, then see will box boot, one of them may be causing a short, making the box boot loop

Thanks for the reply....thankfully now sorted. Turned out to be the power adaptor-must be one it's way out and not providing stable current. Found another one in the cupboard equally matched and works a treat.

    The box survives on!
