    Scheduled timer crashes the box

Box crashes when watching a channel and a scheduled timer entry is being activated.

My box only has one satellite cable connected. I scheduled the timer to zap and record a program at a later date/time. If I'm not watching anything at that date/time, the box will record the program Ok. However, if I'm watching a different channel at that date/time, the box freezes/locks up with the VIX logo spinning away. Does not give me a warning that it wants to zap to another channel. Have to power-cycle a few times to break out of the timer fault.

You will need to provide the crash logs for someone to determine the issue.
    How to obtain logs here.

Do you get any error message on screen when this happens.
Could be a ABM issue. Go into ABM menu/configure and turn extra debug on.
Reproduce the error again and see if it produces logs.

What is your tuner config? Picture would help. Box is obviously hanging up for some reason (no crash)

    Debug log files attached

2 x debug log files attached. First file is when the box froze. The second file is the startup - after I pressed the power switch.

Well the debug don't say a lot to me. In the 1st one, the system is busy cleaning up the trashcan ........so where does that reside??? what device?

    I'm intrigued by this:
    Code:
    < 1979.131> [RecordTimer] activating state 1
< 1979.132> [RecordTimer] Found enough free space to record
< 1979.138> [RecordTimer] Filename calculated as: '/media/hdd/movie/20171212 0920 - ITV HD - The Jeremy Kyle Show'
    < 1979.138> [Navigation] recording service: 1:0:19:5104:80F:2:11A0000:0:0:0:
< 1979.139> [RecordTimer] Filename calculated as: '/media/hdd/movie/20171212 0920 - ITV HD - New_ The Jeremy Kyle Show'
    < 1979.140> [eDVBResourceManager] allocate channel.. 080f:0002
    < 1979.140> [eDVBResourceManager] available channel.. 07f3:0002
    < 1979.140> [eDVBFrontend] isCompatibleWith system 1 is_id -1 pls_code 1 pls_mode 0 is_multistream 0
    < 1979.140> [eDVBResourceManager] allocateFrontend, score=115005
    < 1979.140> [eDVBServicePMTHandler] allocate Channel: res -6
    < 1979.140> [eDVBServiceRecord] RECORD service event 0
    < 1979.140> [RecordTimer] 'prepare' failed: error -6
< 1979.140> [RecordTimer] backoff: retry in 5 seconds
    < 1979.140> [eDVBServiceRecord] stop recording!
< 1979.140> [eDVBServiceRecord] (was not recording)
The box appears to be trying to record it twice, under (slightly) different filenames. What timer(s) do you have set-up?

1 recurrent timer entry, 2 past timer entries ( different times - does not overlap with active timer entry).

May have had a doubled-up timer entry in the past and was deleted.

By that do you mean a timer that is set to repeat at the same time each day/week/...?
