    Exclamation Help - Box crashed and now won't start

    Hi, I have a Mutant HD51 which has been fine since I bought it a few months ago. Today the family were watching a recording, and they say they just pressed stop and when they want to the EPG there were no channels. When the box restarted it got stuck in a loop. Attaches is a screenshot and crash log.

    Any ideas how to fix?

    I think I might know what the problem is but not how to fix it. Just before the box crashed I noticed that the EPG was showing the Bouquet "Favourites(TV)". This bouquet does not have any channels on it, all my channels are in the "All Channels" bouquet. So now I think it is starting with this one selected but fails to find anything and restarts. Any idea how I can have it revert to the other bouquet? There's a brief moment when the box restarts and the infobar appears (which is empty) but I can't seem to do anything at this point.

    Can you upload the crashlog? Default location is /home/root/logs/

    Oops, sorry.

    You can probably fix this. Before we proceed, can you issue commands to the receiver (sorry to ask)?

    If so, stop enigma2 with "init 4"

    Using notepad++ (not windows notepad) Look at the settings file in /etc/enigma2/
    Make a backup of the file and keep safe.
    On working copy, delete any lines that start with "config.tv."
    Save/ and allow transfer back to complete.
    Restart with "init 3"

    Obviously this is a fix of the symptom, not underlying issue

    Hi,

    I followed the steps but the same issue. The Settings file contained the following which I deleted.

    config.tv.lastroot=1:7:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0type == 1) || (type == 17) || (type == 22) || (type == 25) || (type == 31) || (type == 134) || (type == 195) FROM BOUQUET "userbouquet.favourites.tv" ORDER BY bouquet;
    config.tv.lastservice=-1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:

    Anything else I can try? Maybe the "Remove all channel data and bouquets" comment from the Putty thread?

    Still the same issue. I guess a reset or something is needed? What's the best way to do that without formatting the drive and losing the recordings?

    OK, so deleted the Settings file and box now works. I'll have to re-set everything up the way I wanted but no big deal. Thanks for your help

    can you upload the "faulty" settings file. just a case of finding the offending line.

    You can re-add most of them. Ensure enigma2 is not running though.
