    Vu + panel antenna

VU + PANEL ANTENNA. My neighbour asked me if this was any good as he does not want a normal dish on the side of his bungalow. If not are there better flat antennas? he only wants it for Freesat.

Antenna is usually used in the context of being an aerial so totally unsuitable for satellite TV (Freesat). If your neighbour already has a product in mind do you have a link to it?

Do you mean antenna or dish? Depending on which part of the country or in which part of Europe you live the answer may be different.

Why doesn't you neighbour want a "normal" dish? Is it because it may spoil the look of the property from the kerbside etc.? If so it may be possible to install a dish the other side of the property 'out of site' looking at the satellite(s) over the roof.

Apparently they call them antennas because they are not dish shaped. It would be adjacent to his front door and he felt this would be better than a dish even if it was sprayed white.
