    Can I return this unopened?

Just moved into new house and prev owner had both sky and vm options. I'm happy with FTA TV and netflix so thinking i could just buy the Uno4k w/FBC cable tuner to hook up and basically have the freeview equivalent of the TiVo V6, it's turning up tomorrow! I've now found out that this ain't going to work! I'd chosen to have OpenATV installed.

Can I simply refuse delivery and return the item? I'll probably opt for the Mutant HD51 with sat tuners and make use of freesat.

Happy to pay return postage costs.

Anyone know if they are open tomorrow? Couldnt find what days they are open.

    Cheers

What won’t work? The Uno 4K is a great receiver.

Even if you could plug it in there is very litle FTA stuff through cable. In my area even the BBC & ITV channels are encrypted. If there is a satellite dish at the property you can get the FTA stuff from there.

There is a lot more FTA channels available through a dish than you will ever get through either cable or an aerial.

I didn't know this until today.. thought I'd get the same as terrestrial freeview, just without premium/subscription content. Also found out that the FBC sat tuner won't work with the dish and lnb... So whichever way i look at it, I've simply bought the wrong box! This is way I'd like to return it and maybe go for something with traditional sat tuners.
