If install an updated ViX image on my Mutant HD51 box, will it wipe my settings etc. I ask because I have been getting notifications that a new ViX image is available etc.
Software update - NO
Image flash by USB - YES , but backup settings (Backup Manager) before flashing and restore settings after the flash.

one reason i would query update as unknown what image is on box and backing up this image yes.
using restore settings that may clash with new image is it not better to setup from scratch?
Settings should be OK (always have been for me and I flip images and OE-A versions all the time), but don‘t restore plugins

If you install image (using USB), it is starting from beginning.
If you perform an online update, settings will remain.
