Question How to transfer hdd inc recordings from my vu solo2 to mutant hd51?

Ive just upgraded box but want to use the 1tb hdd with 750gb of recordings in my new mutant hd51, i put in my hdd to the mutant and it didnt recognise any recordings and i dont want to fiddle with settings and loose all my stuff, so am i best to make a copy on another portable hdd and then try the hdd and fiddle the settings in the mutant?

put your receiver into deep standby, then restart it.

if it recognizes the HDD try to ftp to it and see and you see if it contains any files.

also try a full reboot and see if the HDD is showing in menu/setup/vix/mount manager
