Check your EPG save locations. Try deleting a plugin to free up memory

Hi thanks for the reply I only have the plugins that come with the image and this crash happens mainly when switching channels or trying to watch the 4K demo on Astra.

Try deleting your EPG file. Ensure you stop with Enigma2 with an init 4 command first.

How have you setup the EPG? Have you setup an importer?

Those fatal signal crashes are random. Nobody seems to know what causes them. As they cannot be recreated reliably, adding debug/testing is very difficult. Deleting the EPG data seems to help.

I have set up EPG to save to internal flash i did have on usb and hdd but all crashed, no Epg importer just using epg for VM and freesat. On the VTI forum there are over 250 posts about this problem but as yet still unresolved.

Internal flash not a good idea, it's bound to cause crashes.

EPG needs to be stored either to a HDD or USB Flash Drive. I advise to reflash your receiver with ViX 5.0.027 & setup as new and this time store your EPG to either of the above mentioned.

I'd USB re-flash the unit and do not restore ANY settings. Directly after completing the first install wizard I would re-initialise all connected storage devices, you'll loose any recordings.

Setup EPG to store on USB or HDD. Leave everything else as default. Scan using Autobouquetsmaker and test for at least 24 hours using free to air services. Do not install any extra plugins or softcams.
