    Is it OK to use receiver without sat cables?

    Run your box without sat cables to watch iptv, dont want to damage the tuners for when reconnecting to satelite

    I don't fully understand your question or purpose. Do you not want to maybe have FreeSat Bouquets as well as IPTV?

    Due to building work I have not a a sat connected to any of my box's all year, just Freeview on one box shared over local lan and everything else is via IPTV so to answer your question. YES

    Yes, you can use a receiver with no signal wires connected.
