Can someone please confirm this :

My receiver is on image 5.0.025 and i reset it to factory settings, if i do a USB flashing of same image version 5.0.025, will the flashing process work or will the receiver ignore it since its already have the same image version?

Flashing overwrites everything.Even if same image.

Do not restore settings/plugins afterwards. If you are selling receiver, delete any backups on HDD.

The receiver still boots normal, It doesn't seem to be flashing, now trying a 3rd USB.

I'm trying to resolve this issue here.

Well, the wording you are using is confusing.

Image manager does not perform an update. It is a flash/install of an image.
Some people say "fresh flash"? What is a "sour flash" then?

I suppose they mean, do not restore settings or plugins after flashing the image.

one thing with our boxes it needs a good brand of usb like kingston cruzer or integra 8gb work for me and any other usb devices removed before reflashing. usb sticks are only inserted or removed while box is off. checked the guides for flashing to see if doing it correct?

2 of my USB are integra 8GB whilst the the 3rd is Kingston.
I extracted the zip file, copied the 4 files that's is the folder, into the root of my USB

You put the complete extracted folder on the USB. Not the files inside the folder.
