    Swapping HDD's

    I've a 500gb hdd and looking to swap to a 1tb, whats involved and is there anyway to transfer some of the recordings etc to the new hdd.

    copy all files to your PC an install HDD.Then transfer them back.Or use a program to copy raw from HDD to HDD on your PC.Preferably under linux.

    I use a computer that has plenty of storage and transfer my old to it, and then to the new when it is mounted in sat box. It is just a matter of copy and paste and then waiting.

    Only getting round to doing this now, i not overly worried about recordings as watched most now anyhow. Do I need to copy any other files from my hdd etc ie iptv files, epg data etc ?

    The only settings that should be on the hard drive would be a hidden kodi folder (if you use it). EPG data can be downloaded fresh. Everything else should be in flash memory. Just swap the drives. If something is really missing the data is still on the old drive.
