I'm looking at buying an OCTAGON SF4008 receiver, Can I flash the whole of the image from my SF138 to the SF4008 as Its set up perfect.

No you can't. The SF4008 is an ARM receiver for starters. Complete different architecture in receivers. Also Oscam is your only Softcam option on the SF4008.
So stop being lazy & setup from scratch. haha

think of it another way like petrol and diesel as both are fuels and getting it wrong can be expensive

You can restore a settings backup. This will make settings and plugins the same. As well as restoring timers.
1. You will have to set tuners again.
2. Hostname needs to be edited
3. You can only use Oscam.

As long as you can get the oscam sorted then the rest is easy / use the lastest version of oscam on list as they more stable than the one in the feeds http://download.oscam.cc/index.php?&...20_TRUNK/armV7
