    GigaBlue UHD UE 4K

Been waiting for this box and it seems like forever. I don't want the quad, to big to make a snug fit on my desk. On googly ******* tv advertise it as available but I wanted to know the price and if it really is available but prefer a UK seller. They ignore all emails.

Not available ....... if it is not in stock at Impex-sat (read Gigablue) then it's not available
Here its big time holiday, so not likely to get any answers (although they are pretty poor at answering at the best of times)
They also, following on the dispute over CI+, appear to be reorganising (my opinion )with OpenMIPS (basically the factory image) disappearing.
It will be interesting to see what happens from September (when the whole of Germany is back to work), and whether the DVB-S2x tuner turns up on time.

    .......................> FBC & DVB-S2X into 90cm dish (27.5W) Opticum robust Unicable LNB
    AX HD61, Edision Osmio 4K+, Zgemma H9Combo, Octagon SF8008 , gbtrio4k, h9se using Legacy ports on multiswitches
    Zgemma H9 C/S into Giga4K

Wait and see then, although I find it confusing that some back view photos of the Gigablue UHD UE 4K show HDMI in as well as HDMI out.

I think they thought this was their fallback 4K receiver if the UHD QUAD 4K didn't sell.... but they have been very clever in "batching" supplies of the UHD Quad 4K and they are now on the 3rd "batch" (whats in a "batch" only they know )
So "so far" its selling enough for them ... in many ways I have to admire (apart from the non response) this typical small German company that establishes a brand, and product in a niche market.

Is there going to be a cable variant of this box? That's what I've been waiting months for

Do you mean FBC cable? If so doubt it.

I believe they already do a plug in tuner for cable/terrestrial but you are stuck with the sat tuners because they are fixed in the Gigablue Quad. It looks as if the UHD UE 4K box has all plug in tuners. most is in German and Google translate is not always that accurate.

Yes twol I mean FBC cable tuners. If you can get 1 FBC cable tuner and one FBC satellite this would make it a cracking box and competition for the very expensive VU+ Ultimo 4k

Unfortunately, cable services are still not a big market in Germany ........... In most areas the houses/apartments have sat dishes eg in Munich, some apartment blocks are like spiky Hedgehogs - covered in dishes .... and even though they have just layed cable in our streets, I think it's more a case of Deutsche Telekom in catchup mode for their streaming services.

It looks as if the Gigablue UHD UE will be ages in coming. Even the Quad 4K has sold out at the £299 price. Must be popular or doing slow stock replenishment for some reason. Maybe I will settle for the quad when it is available again.

    Some information from Gigablue:

    Sonntag, 7. Mai 2017, 12:24

    4K Tuner Informationen

The most important information for me is, that they say DVB C/T2 FBC tuner is coming from October.
